Joint Replacement / Reconstruction
Conditions Treated
A joint is where two or more bones come together and are joined by fibrous bands called ligaments. These bones move relative to each other with the help of muscles to produce different types of movement. Some common conditions that we treat through joint replacement surgery are long-standing arthritis, severe joint infection, severe joint trauma, and more.

Orthopedic Nurse Navigator Program
Upstate Orthopedics' patients undergoing hip and knee joint replacement surgery at Upstate Community Hospital are automatically enrolled in our Orthopedic Nurse Navigator Program. With this, patients are assigned a registered nurse who works closely with the patient, their family, and their surgeon to guide them through the experience from surgery decision to post-operative care. Working in partnership with the Orthopedic Nurse Navigators at Upstate Community Hospital, we are able to provide our patients with additional high-quality care, promoting recovery and returning patients to normal daily living. Keeping the Patient First in Patient-Care
Upstate Orthopedics works with Patient IQ to communicate with patients undergoing certain medical procedures, collecting responses directly from the patient to track progression and change in their health status for the time when they are not in our office.
