MEET DR. SCUDERI
Matthew G. Scuderi, MD is an attending surgeon with Upstate Orthopedics, Syracuse, NY. He is board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Scuderi treats numerous orthopedic conditions related to sports related and acute traumatic injuries, as well as chronic degenerative conditions– from simple to complex. He treats all age groups with both operative and non-operative approaches.
Dr. Scuderi remains active with medical education, training physicians and orthopedic surgeons of the future. He remains active with clinical and biomechanical research and is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Department of Orthopedics.

- Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of the knee
- Knee ligamentous reconstruction (posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, lateral collateral ligament)
- Arthroscopic meniscal correction of the knee
- Robotic assisted knee replacement, total and partial (Stryker MAKOplasty)
- Ankle ligament repair (ie Brostrom)
- Tendon repair (ie biceps, hamstring, quadriceps, patellar, Achilles)
- Fracture repair (ie shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle)
Team care: Dr. Scuderi has been actively involved as team physician and orthopedic consultant for Cornell University, Colgate University, Syracuse University, regional high schools, the US Ski Team, as well as the Syracuse Chiefs (Mets).
