Upstate Orthopedics is excited to announce the addition of Eric Bellinger, MD, to our team of fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons providing specialized care to patients from all over Central New York. Dr. Bellinger specializes in foot and ankle surgery and comes to us from the Rush University Medical Center Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program in Chicago. Dr. Bellinger received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University after attending Canisius University for his undergraduate studies. He went on to complete his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical University.
As an orthopedic specialist of the foot and ankle, Dr. Bellinger brings with him clinical expertise in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a multitude of injuries and conditions, including but not limited to ankle sprains and other sports related injuries, fractures, Achilles tendon injuries, and limb salvage/reconstructive procedures. Dr. Bellinger has extensive training in minimally invasive surgery, and he brings this expertise into his practice.
Dr. Bellinger will see patients at the Upstate Bone & Joint Center in East Syracuse, Central New York’s most comprehensive center for orthopedic medicine, and he will serve as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at SUNY Update Medical University. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Bellinger shares, “Having grown up in Upstate New York, it has always been my goal to practice medicine in the area. This was furthered by going to medical school here at SUNY Upstate and experiencing what an amazing medical institution it is. I look forward to being a part of the Upstate family and caring for patients from all over Central New York.”
